Philip Tinari

Philip Tinari is a writer and curator based in Beijing. He is a contributing editor to Artforum, and founding editor of artforum.com.cn, the magazine's Chinese-language website. In 2007, he opened Office for Discourse Engineering, an editorial studio focused on publishing, research, and translation related to contemporary art in China. Tinari has written for publications including The New York Times Magazine, Parkett, Art AsiaPacific, McSweeney's, The Wall Street Journal and theChinese journal Dushu.

This project is supported with 03-funds, a support program underwritten by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for enhancing collaboration in the contemporary art field in countries in the south.
