Anawana Haloba
Support provided for the participation of artist Anawana Haloba (born in Zambia 1978, lives and works in Oslo, Norway) in the group exhibition 'The Global Contemporary–Art Worlds After 1989' at ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art in Karlsruhe, Germany. According to curator Andrea Buddensieg, the exhibition 'surveys the global economic and socio-political changes since 1989 and the way in which these changes are reflected in the art world'. In this thematic context, Haloba will present her work The Greater G8 Advertising Market Stand (2009), which was first exhibited in the 2009 Venice Biennale. Other participating artists include amongst others Bani Abidi, AES Group, Halim Al-Karim, Halil Altindere, Francis Alÿs, Rasheed Araeen, Kader Attia, Yto Barrada, Richard Bell, Guy Ben-Ner, Tamy Ben-Tor.
