In collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, China, OCA offers two studio residencies, for artists or curators at Platform China Beijing Residency Programme. The first one from 1 April until 31 May 2010 and the second from 1 September until 31 October 2010. Applicants must be Norwegian citizens, or live and work in Norway. Please notice that residency is not available for BA or MA students. The applications will be accessed by an International Jury appointed by OCA. Please read the Guidelines before filling in the application form.
Platform China Residency Programme is covered by 03–funding. 03–funds, also referred to by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as 'Exchange with Countries in the South', is a support programme underwritten by the MFA for 'enhancing collaboration in the contemporary art field with professionals and artists in the countries designated by the MFA'.
Following the grant, the grant-holder is expected to write a brief report to the Office for Contemporary Art Norway about his or her stay.
The residency includes the Studio and programme at Platform China Beijing, in addition the Office for Contemporary Art Norway covers up to NOK 10000, – for travel expenses and a monthly stipend of NOK 8000, – for living expenses.
OCA has set up an online application system for applications for International Support and International Residencies. This system should be used to apply to the Residency Platform China, with a deadline of 01 November 2009.

Ane Graff, installation view 'SLIDING'
Bethanien Künstlerhaus, Berlin, Germany
At the core of Ane Graff's work is an investigation into the nature of matter. Graff examines the surface and structure of organic mass. The 2009 exhibition 'SLIDING' at Bethanien Künstlerhaus, Berlin, saw Graff continuing this examination into the concepts of molecular diffusion and particle decay. Graff's drawings and sculptures share a clear interest in the science of materials, the materials diffusion and drift. Recent exhibitions include 'SLIDING', Bethanien Künstlerhaus, Berlin, 'LIFE FORMS', Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm and THE DRAWING BIENNALE 2010 (upcoming), Moss, Norway. Graff lives and works in Oslo and Berlin.
Tarje Eikanger Gullaksen's artistic practice includes text, photo, film, installation and sculpture. In his art he investigates objects and signs in relation to language, transgression, representation, transformation and loss. Recently his work has been shown at Artspeak, Vancouver, The Museum of Modern Art Aalborg and Galerie Medhi Chouakri, Berlin.
