OCA offers three residencies for curators, critics and artists in Berlin from 1 November until 31 December 2009; from 1 January until 28 February 2010 and from 1 March until 31 April 2010. Applicants must be Norwegian citizens, or live and work in Norway. Curators and critics are especially encouraged to apply, and their applications will be given priority. Please notice that residency is not available for BA or MA students. The applications will be accessed by an International Jury appointed by OCA. Please notice that the residency period will be allocated directly in discussion with the selected candidates following the Jury meeting and that following the grant, the grant-holder is expected to write a brief report to the Office for Contemporary Art Norway about his or her stay.
Due to renovation work at Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art in Mitte, during the upcoming period of fall 2009/spring 2010 the residency will be temporarily relocated in Savignyplatz, Charlottenburg, Berlin.
The residency provides a fully furnished apartment located at Savignyplatz, Charlottenburg, Berlin. Due to renovation work at Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art in Mitte, during the upcoming period of fall 2009/spring 2010 the residency will be temporarily relocated to Charlottenburg. In addition, OCA also provides a travel grant worth up to NOK 4,000.

Marianne Zamecznik is a curator based in Oslo, Norway. She studied at the curating programme at Konstfack in Stockholm from 2000 to 2002. In 2002 she co-founded Simon Says together with Stina Högkvist, with the aim of realizing various art-projects, events, exhibitions and publications. Zamecznik simultaneously held a position as a curator and producer at Filmform, the Swedish video art distribution archive, from 2002 to 2004. Since February 2007, Zamecznik has been the program director of 0047 in Oslo where she has presented projects and solo exhibitions with, most recently, Hans Thorsen, Marte Johnslien, Saskia Holmkvist and Josefine Lyche. Her curated projects include 'The space between us – Introducing the work of Stanislaw Zamecznik', (0047), 'Vodou' (0047 and Gallery 54, Gothenburg), 'Soft Spot' (0047), 'MUTE' (Bastard, Oslo and Tromsø Kunstforening), 'Untrue Stories', (Media Art Farm CCCD, Tibilisi) and 'Bokaktig' (Fotogalleriet). She has worked as an art critic in Kunstkritikk.no, Konsten.se and Billedkunst, and has been an editor for a number of publications and catalogues.
