Morten Norbye Halvorsen is invited by independent curator Raimundas Malasauskas to participate in 'Repetition Island', a public programme at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France. 'Repetition Island' will consist of an sequence of activities – talks, screenings, performances, etc – that according to the curator 'unfolds repeatedly for seven days, each day applying different variants and digressing from the script as everyday practice.' Within 'Repetition Island', Morten Norbye Halvorsen will present Re and Un, a synchronized recording of the sequence of activities from four separate vantage points, resulting in a seven-layer, ten-hour, four-channel recording. During the week the recordings will be stacked, rerecorded, replayed and unrecorded in a number of ways, creating documents and generating different time relationships between viewer playback and new configurations of a day that keeps repeating.

Morten Norbye Halvorsen, born 1980 in Stavanger, Norway is an artist based in London, UK. He attended Falmouth College of Arts in UK and the Kunst Akademiet in Trondheim, Norway.
