On 19 November Elise Storsveen and Eline Mugaas will launch the zine ALBUM #3, The Lonesome Male at Printed Matter in New York City, New York, USA. Consisting primarily of found advertisements and photographic illustrations of males, either alone at work or in other situations, The Lonesome Male presents a narrative involving sex, gender, and the human body while investigating the condition of the lonely male, in search for meaning and love. The Lonesome Male is the third issue in the ALBUM zine, the two first of which were launched in 2008 and also composed of found images and sequenced as to give new meanings and highlight details from the images.

About the Artists

Born in 1969, Elise Storsveen lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Recent solo exhibitions include 'Fyktelige angrep i ly av', Gallery Trafo, Asker, Norway 2009; 'A week of Kindness' (with Are Myklebost), 0047, Oslo, 2008; 'It's All In Your Mind', Galleri Bouhlou, Bergen. Group exhibitions include 'Rock Paper Scissors', Galerie Susan Nielsen, Paris, 2009; 'Cut-ups', Centrum för fotografi, Stockholm, 2009 and 'Cons and Idols', Kistefoss Museet, Kistefoss, Norway, 2008.

Born in 1969, Eline Mugaas lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Recent Solo exhibitions include 'skin flick', Galleri Riis, Oslo, Norway, 2008; 'Some Cities', Bergen Kunsthall, Bergen, Norway, 2007. She partook in exhibitions such as 'Fake Snow', Galleri Riis, Oslo, Norway, 2008; 'Recent History of Norwegian Photography', Stenersen Museet, Oslo, Norway, 2007; 'Syntetische Natur', kunstraum D-21 Leipzig, Germany, 2007 and 'Gode Grannar Norrköpings', Konstmuseum, Sweden, 2005.
