OCA International Residency Programmes - Victoria Pihl Lind at Residency Berlin Mitte

OCA offers four residencies for curators, critics and artists in Berlin. The residency provides a fully furnished apartment located at Kunst-Werke, Institute for Contemporary Art, in the Mitte area. The upcoming resident for the months of September/October 2011 is artist Victoria Pihl Lind. Through her recent production, Lind investigates the performative and text-image relation in video and performance. During her stay in Berlin the artist plans to conduct further research on issues related to politics and universalism in connection to an ongoing project with a specific emphasis on the concept of ‘European universalism’.

About the artist
Victoria Pihl Lind (b.1981 in Oslo, Norway, based in Oslo, Norway) graduated with a MA degree from the National Academy of Art in Oslo in 2008, and a BA from Chelsea College of Art in London. Lind works with a variety of media such as video, text, photography and performance. Recent group shows include, 'HOLOGHOST, Performance in Radom city', National Center for Sculpture, Oronsko, Poland, and 'Endring og stillstand – Hagen som materiale og motiv i kunsten' at Galleri F15, Moss, Norway. In 2009 and 2010, Lind co-edited the issues Dreampolitics (1-2, 2009) and On Contemporary art / Om Samtidskunst (1-2, 2010) of UKS-Forum Magazine for Contemporary Art.
