On the back of various high profile international works, Cristina Lucas has been invited as the guest artist for Artica Listens 2019, which this year is co-curated by Artica Svalbard and Key Partner Office for Contemporary Art Norway, OCA.

Artica Listens is a new project launching as part of Artica Svalbard´s programme. Taking place in the Svalbard Archipelago this year, Artica Listens sets out not only to enliven some of the most urgent questions of our time, but to do so from one of the most challenging sites on the planet.

Artica Listens’ first iteration will explore the legacy of The Svalbard Treaty, in the lead up to its 100th anniversary in 2020.
