The Norwegian state is enforcing the reduction of the reindeer population across northern Norway, often against the wishes of the Sami communities. Artist Máret Ánne Sara is one of a new generation of Sami that is asserting the rights of her community. Commissioned by Office for Contemporary Art Norway, this film is part of a long-term research project ‘Thinking at the Edge of the World. Perspectives from the North’.
