Torbjørn Rødland (b.1970 in Stavanger, Norway, lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, USA) has exhibited at Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis, MO, USA; Stedelijk Museum CS, Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, Oslo, Norway; the 48th Venice Biennial, Venice, Italy, among others. His films have been exhibited at venues such as Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, Hiroshima, Japan; the 2007 Athens Biennial, Athens, Greece; P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Long Island City, NY, USA; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL, USA and Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, Spain. Project books include Andy Capp Variations (Hassla, 2011), I Want to Live Innocent (steidlMACK, 2008) and White Planet Black (steidlMACK, 2006). Upcoming solo exhibitions include Galleri Standard, Oslo (December 2011) and Air de Paris, Paris (January 2012).
