INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT
OCA is currently accepting applications for the 2015 first quarter application review for International Support. Forms are due on 1 February 2015. Applications are accepted from Norwegian artists, international artists residing in Norway and non-profit arts organisations. Priority is given to exhibitions taking place in key international art institutions and project spaces. Support is also extended to solo exhibitions and group exhibitions initiated by international curators as well as to Norwegian art professionals organising exhibitions and projects abroad. The funding for International Support is provided by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the allocation is decided upon by an independent jury of Norwegian and international art professionals designated by OCA.

INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCIES
OCA provides international residencies for Norwegian artists, curators and critics in a number of international venues. The upcoming 1 February 2015 deadline applies to Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, Germany, and International Artist and Curatorial Studio Programmes (ISCP), New York, NY, USA.

Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, Germany
In 2015–16 OCA offers a twelve-month residency programme for an artist at the International Studio Programme Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, from 1 December 2015 until 15 November 2016. Applications are accepted from Norwegian artists and international artists residing in Norway. Please notice that the residency is not available for BA or MA students. Applications will be assessed by an international jury appointed by OCA, and by representatives from Künstlerhaus Bethanien. Click here to read more about Künstlerhaus Bethanien.

ISCP, New York, NY, USA
OCA offers two studio grants – one for a Norwegian artist and one for a Norwegian curator – at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York, NY, USA. The artist residency has the duration of one year, from 1 September 2015 until 15 August 2016. The curatorial residency has a duration of 3 months, from 1 September until 30 November 2015. Only Norwegian citizens are eligible for these grants. Please notice that the residency is not available for BA or MA students. OFFICE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART NORWAY

OCA is a foundation created by the Norwegian Ministries of Culture and of Foreign Affairs in autumn 2001 with the aim of developing collaboration projects in the cultural field between Norway and the international arts scene. The foundation aims to become one of the main organs in the international contemporary arts debate through initiatives such as exhibitions, seminars, publications, as well as by providing support to Norwegian artists for their activities on the international art arena. Since 2001 OCA has been responsible for Norway's representation in the Visual Art sector of the Venice Biennale.

Staging Two. "They Went Away to Stay" postponed

The second staging in the programme 'Of Love, Departures and Countering Defeats in Choleric Times. Three Stagings' by Rene Gabri and Ayreen Anastas has been postponed until August 2015. Staging Three. "Incidental Insurgents" by Ruanne Abou-Rahme and Basel Abbas is opening as scheduled on 7 April 2015.
