Geir M. Brungot: 'Fragile Memories Recycled'

Exhibition Dates: 3–20 February 2011
Opening Reception: Thursday 3 February, 18:00

Meetfactory - International Center of Contemporary Art, Prague, Czech Republic

Geir M. Brungot has been invited to present a solo exhibition at Meetfactory - International Center of Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic, from to 20 February. Organised by the curator of Meetfactory's Cube Gallery Dušan Zahoranský, the exhibition opens a series of projects focusing on contemporary photography to be held at Meetfactory throughout the year. 'Fragile Memories Recycled' presents the two photographic print series 'Campingvogner' and 'Inside Out'. The two series are balancing each other - one 'describing mobile summer houses with obscure forms and locations, while the second is recording remains of human activities in an already abandoned countryside'. Characterised by the absence of the human body, the photo landscape 'suggestively depicts the essence of contemporary human beings'.

For press inquiries and more information on this announcement, please contact Dušan Zahoranský, curator, Cube Gallery, Meetfactory.
